Jed Bradley, Garrett Wittels, Taylor Guerrieri, Kolten Wong, Thomas Pope

Jed Bradley seems inconsistent to me. In one viewing he was 91-93 with plus secondary pitches. The second time I saw him, he was 86-88 with plus secondary stuff. That is a big difference in the fastball and the difference between a back of the rotation guy and a front end guy. I think he's a lock to be a major leaguer though. http://www.mlbbonusbaby.com/

GARRETT WITTELS – who ended the 2010 season riding a 56-game hitting streak – had a huge game in FIU’s 10-9, 11-inning victory at Stetson (#15 in the CB360 Composite National Rankings), as the Golden Panthers boosted their NCAA Tournament resume with a high-quality RPI victory. When the dust had settled in that battle with the Hatters, the 6-2/205-pound Wittels had reached base on all six of his plate appearances – after batting 5-for-5 out of the 2-hole, plus a hit-by-pitch, 2 RBI, 3 runs scored, a double and the winning home run. He then helped surging FIU push its unbeaten streak to 16 games, with a 2-0-1 series vs. Arkansas State, leaving the Panthers in a near-tie with Troy atop the Sun Belt Conference standings. http://collegebaseball360.com/2011/05/17/fiu-shortstop-garrett-willetts-miami-lhp-brian-radziewski-top-honorees-on-cb360-week-13-primetime-performers

Taylor Guerrieri, RHP, Spring Valley HS (SC) - Pros: Guerrieri's 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame is the kind that scouts like to dream on, and he has consistently reached 97-98 mph with his fastball while sitting comfortably at 92-96. His power curveball is already a plus pitch that has torched high school hitters. Cons: While his arm action is clean, his overall delivery is sloppy, too mechanical, and too complex. He hasn't needed a third pitch on the South Carolina high school circuit, so his changeup will need development. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=13935

CAA BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Thomas Pope, UNC Wilmington Jr., OF/DH, Clinton, N.C./Clinton Pope batted .615 (8-13) with three doubles, a homer, four runs scored and six RBI in UNCW’s four games. The junior had two hits in each contest to raise his league-leading batting average to .422. Pope batted .667 (6-9) and drove in six in the Seahawks’ conference series at Old Dominion last weekend. http://www.caasports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=43044&SPID=3448&ATCLID=205151861&DB_OEM_ID=8500

Kolten Wong, 2B, Hawaii - Wong handles second base just fine and offers a polished approach at the plate to go with legit gap power and good speed. He needed a huge junior season to put himself firmly into Day 1 consideration, but there's a chance he waits until the second round despite a .365/.480/.539 line with 21 stolen bases. http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/blog?name=mlb_draft&id=6562712&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fmlb%2fblog%3fname%3dmlb_draft%26id%3d6562712
