RHP Josh Stinson (1-3, 5.01) vs. LHP Justin Wilson (3-3, 2.36)

Radio: WWKB AM 1520, http://www.bisons.com/

TODAY’S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons take on the Indianapolis Indians in the first game of a four-game series from Victory Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd is coming off a four-game split against the Louisville Bats to begin this eight-game roadtrip. Today’s game features the Herd’s first non-divisional opponent other than the Bats this season.

VS. THE INDIANS: Today’s contest is the Bisons first match-up with the Indians this season. Indy won six of the eight games against the Herd in 2010. Buffalo has no season-series wins and just one split against the Indians in the last six years. However, the Bisons still hold a 28-24 edge over the Tribe at Victory Field since returning to the International League in 1998.

ROSTER MOVES: The Mets have recalled INF RUBEN TEJADA and activated RHP PEDRO BEATO off his MLB injury rehab assignment. Tejada has played in all 39 Bisons games, including starts in the first 37 contests, and hit .267 (40-150) with three home runs and a team-leading 18RBI. Beato pitched in one contest, earning the win on Sunday with 1.1 shutout innings of work.

HU’S COMING TO HERD: To make room on their roster, the Mets optioned RHP RYOTA IGARASHI and outrighted INF CHIN-LUNG HU to the Bisons. Igarashi began 2011 with Buffalo and posted a save in 3.1 shutout innings over two appearances. The righty was 2-1 with a 3.63ERA in 15 games with the Mets. Hu will be making his Bisons debut after playing in 22 games and making two starts for the Mets (1-20 at the plate).

ON THE MEND: RHP JENRRY MEJIA underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow on Tuesday. The procedure was performed by Mets Medical Director, Dr. David Altchek. New York’s top prospect felt discomfort after his final start with the Herd, April 29 in Rochester. He was placed on the disabled list on May 2. Mejia was 1-2 with a 2.86ERA in five starts this season.

HOT HITTER: OFF JESUS FELICIANO enters today’s game on a six-game hit streak over which he has averaged .292 (7-24). Feliciano has reached base safely in 11 of his last 12 games and has driven in at least one run in four straight.

METS UPDATE: After an hour and 20 minute rain delay, the Mets (19-22) lost to the Marlins last night, 2-1 in 11 innings. RHP MIKE PELFREY allowed just one run in seven innings but did not earn a decision. Former Bisons INF JUSTIN TURNER had two more hits and drove in New York’s only run. The Mets host the Marlins tonight at 7:10pm.
