Huge prep prospect.
Needs to cut down on the wildness and BB/9 ratio.

A huge prospect for the 2020 draft, Mederos had a ton of interest in that draft, though his signability pushed teams away. He's got a big fastball and an impressive breaking ball that figure to head the Oklahomna State rotation after transferring from the University of Miami.

Mederos had a lot of profile as a high schooler because he had big stuff, but a violent delivery and poor command plagued him. At the start of his freshman year he had slimmed and toned his delivery down. Still a bit wild, Mederos' strike-throwing has improved to the point where he belongs among the other 2022 college starters near the top of the class because nobody has three pitches as good as his.
