96 Jace Grady
OF
Dallas Baptist
Austin, TX Grady has been one of the better hitters in college baseball since 2021 when he posted a .337 average at DBU. He's a switch-hitter with a slap, all-fields approach and gap power. There's some of the fence juice there, but it's entirely pull-side right now. The bat-to-ball skills are impressive. Grady really doesn't strikeout.

29. Jace Grady, OF, Cotuit (Third-year sophomore, Dallas Baptist)
Grady didn’t arrive on the Cape until mid July, but he made the most of his time in Cotuit. Over 19 games, he hit .346/.378/.538 with four home runs (and added two more in three playoff games).
Grady is a switch-hitter and packs a punch in his 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame. He creates plenty of bat speed and produces above-average power, especially from the right side. He’s an aggressive hitter and uses his above-average speed well on the bases. Grady covers ground well in center field and has good feel as a defender. Grady’s home run power was a pleasant surprise this summer after he hit four home runs in the spring and if he’s able to continue to tap into it, he has an exciting profile.
2021 DBU stat line - 49-G, 178-AB, .337/.417/.534, 4-HR
Mack's spin -
Dallas Baptist is becoming one of the powerhouses of college baseball (2011: 41 wins) and players like Grady are helping them go in that direction.
Right now he is my 11th outfielder, but could easily be moving up the board if he can match his 2011 output in this upcoming season.

73 Nazier Mule
RHP/SS
Passaic County Tech
Paterson, NJ Elite level two-way athlete. Up to 97 off the mound from a short, low 3/4 arm slot. Immense arm speed. Flashes a gyro-slider and some feel for a changeup. Top of the class bat speed with significant raw power. Hands work really well on the infield with plus arm strength, maybe more. Hyper-athletic abilities suggest he can stick at the position. Mule projects better on the mound for us, currently. Some early similarities to Masyn Winn, a two-way draftee in 2020.
9-3-21 - Mack @JohnMackinAde
Give me three players you hope will still be on the board on Day 1 when the Giants pick near the end of the draft?
Brian Recca - @brian_recca
BONUS PICK - Nazier Mule, RHP/SS, Passaic County Tech (NJ). Gotta highlight a fellow New Jerseyan. A great athlete with a big arm. The first pitcher to ever reach 100 MPH at the Perfect Game All American Classic this summer. He's raw but his fastball/slider combo could be a devastating combo.
Mack's spin -
I still don't know where to place Mule on my board.
I have him as the 6th RHP AND the 3rd SS.
This is truly a future 2-way star.

109 Trey Dombroski
LHP
Monmouth
Manasquan, NJ Dombroski has been a big-time performer at Monmouth as well as on the Cape. The funky lefty has been up to 91 in the past, but his secondary and tertiary offerings really stand out. It's a sweepy, deep slider, as well as a loopier curveball and a circle change he's got a feel for turning over. Dombroski really fillts up the zone and doesn't walk batters.

LHP Trey Dombroski (Monmouth)
If you value performance in draft prospects, Trey Dombroski is your man. The Monmouth lefty pitched for Harwich through the entirety of the Cape season, posting an eye-popping 45:2 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 31.2 innings. The stuff is solid; two and four seam fastballs at 88-90, touching 91, a mid-to-high 70s curveball with above average shape, and a low-80s changeup with late diving action. As you might suspect, the way Dombroski is able to get such impressive production is very advanced command. He hits his spots with frequency and can work left-to-right to keep hitters off balance. There's some room left for projection on his 6-foot-5 225-pound frame. How high Dombroksi goes will depend on how teams think his command and stuff will play as he progresses to smaller strike zones and more advanced hitters.
2021 Monmouth stat line - 9-G, 8-ST, 5-1, 2.73, 52.2-IP, 64-K, only 8-BB

Best Command: Trey Dombroski, LHP, Monmouth | Harwich (2022)
Why: Frankly no one worked the edges of the zone in the league like Dombroski. He consistently owned both sides of the plate with the ability to manipulate shape on his slider or land his fastball effectively in the upper and lower quadrants. He lands all four of his pitches for strikes and shows strong feel for all of his offerings. Racked up 51 strikeouts to just 3 walks this summer, further proof that he’s landing all four of his pitches, as shown by his 70% overall strike rate.
Mack's spin -
One of my granddaughters just started school at Middle Tennessee, who plays against Monmouth in the same division (scored 50 points this past Saturday against them).
I'm going to have to book a trip to Nashville to see Dombrowski first hand this season.
Right now... 14th LHP.

55 Adam Maier
RHP
Oregon
North Vancouver While the University of British Columbia doesn't traditionally provide a ton of draft-eligible talent, Maier figures to buck that trend. Maier transferred to Oregon for 2022 and figures to be a weekend guy for the Ducks. Up to 96 with significant armspeed and athleticism on a heavy heater, some believe Maier is a starter long-term. He's got an extremely high-spin slider exceeding 3000 RPM, as well as a deceiving changeup that gets whiffs against lefty bats. Maier will need to show he can hold velocity over long outings, but the arm talent is substantial.

16. ADAM MAIER, RHP
BRITISH COLUMBIA (2022): Y-D RED SOX
FB CB SL CH Command FV
45/55 - 55/65 45/50 45/55 5
3,000+ RPM frisbee SL, swing and miss pitch to RHH/LHH. Pound’s turbo sinker at bottom of zone, up to 96 MPH. CH potential to develop into above average secondary offering due to movement profile and depth. Cape season was first time he pitched as a college pitcher due to Covid restrictions in Canada. Above average Si/SL mix will allow Maier to be sent out as starter.
Mack's spin -
I seem to write every day about this guy.
Currently: 15th RHP.
9-9-21 - Prospects Live - 2022 MLB DRAFT - TOP 150 PROSPECTS -
136 Adam Mazur
RHP
Iowa
Woodbury, MN A transfer from South Dakota State, Mazur has a 4-seam fastball sitting 91-95, up to 96. His 2-seam heater is a more deliberate pitch with very good shape, albeit is a touch slower, usually 88-90 mph. Slider and changeup are best secondaries with the former being a low 80s sweeper with good depth and the latter being a mid-80s offspeed with some armside fade and deception. Mazur mixes in a CB in the mid 70s. Shows good command of his FB and some deception from a longer arm action. Fastball and slider tunnel well. Starter traits if he continues to show refinement of secondaries.

WEST
RHP Adam Mazur (Iowa)
Mazur was one of the biggest risers on the Cape this summer, showing scouts improved command of his arsenal. He features a pair of fastballs in the low-to-mid 90s, a slider that flashes plus and a burgeoning changeup. The 6-foot-3 righty will be transferring from South Dakota State to Iowa for the 2022 season, and has room to add muscle on his frame. Mazur was the anchor for Wareham all summer, posting a 1.55 ERA, striking out 34 batters in 29 strong innings.
2021 South Dakota State (transferring in 2022) stat line -
12-G, 12-ST, 2-7, 5.43, 68-IP, 88-K, 31-BB
Mack's spin -
No, I did not misspell Adam Maier's name.
I'm too early to board this transfer. Let's see what he does for Iowa for the first half of the season.
