Paul Articulates - Congratulations are in order

Last night's Rookie of the Year was appropriately awarded to Corbin Carroll and rightfully so, as he had a tremendous season.

Congratulations are also in order for Kodai Senga who was the runner up.  Kodai had a fabulous year with the Mets, as he finished the season 12-7 with a 2.98 ERA.  Kodai started slow, then made several critical adjustments early in the year to the feel of a new baseball and new mound.  After that he was a rock for a Mets club that struggled to get pitchers out of the sixth inning.

Congratulations in advance to next year's Rookie of the Year Yoshinobu Yamamoto and the 2025 Rookie of the Year Mike Vasil.  Mets pitching will come back into prominence in a big way with the evolution of the player development system and the pitching lab.

Speaking of the pitching lab, check out Ernest Dove's interview with Mets prospect David Griffin on this latest bit of new technology funded by all-in owner Steve Cohen.

Senga was a great sign by the Mets ex-GM

Let's hope his exit doesn't screw up a Yamamoto signing.

I still think Stearns and Senga should take the redeye to Tokyo

For what it's worth, Carroll is only 5'10" and is a mighty fine player. Heightens always important. So Jett and Gilbert will be fine I believe.

Sorry. Height isn't always important
