Camden Lehman is a right-handed pitcher from Nixa,
Missouri, selected by the New York Mets in the seventh round (253rd overall) of
the 2025 MLB Draft out of Nixa High School.
A highly regarded prep prospect, he was committed to the
University of Missouri (Mizzou) but faced a decision to sign with the Mets or
honor his college commitment, with a signing deadline of July 30, 2025.
His draft slot value was approximately $254,000.
Lehman, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 200 pounds, is
noted for his athleticism and projectable frame.
His fastball sits in the low-90s, touching 94-95 mph,
with good carry and arm-side run.
He complements it with a mid-80s slider featuring sharp
bite and a developing changeup in the low-80s.
Scouts praise his clean delivery and potential for
growth, projecting him as a possible mid-rotation starter with improved
command.
Before the draft, Lehman played for the Nixa High School
Eagles, contributing to their success, and competed in summer leagues,
including with the Sandlot Baseball Club.
He was ranked among Missouri’s top prep pitchers by
Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report.
If he signs with
the Mets, he’s likely to begin his professional career in the Mets’ minor
league system, possibly with their Rookie-level affiliate.
Mack –
Now, here’s a prep pitcher I can really dig my teeth
into.
The hope is, one, the Mets have the money to sign him
and, two, he signs.
A real barn burner with no negative medical history.
Wow.
