A lot happens on these last few days before
the season ends. Some teams, like Baltimore, have changed their fate with other
team’s castoffs. The Mets signed Tim Teufel’s son
yesterday, which was a nice gesture; however, my hopes are that they let things
stand for now so we can determine exactly what we have in this organization.
The rotation is sort of fucked again, but I think we’re all going to be
pleasantly surprised with a 3-4-5 of Wright-Davis-Duda. My concentration will
continue to be the development of players that can turn this into a 2014
contender… Zack Wheeler, Travis d’Arnaud, Jeurys Familia, Jack Leathersich, and Rafael
Montero (IMO) will all make a difference as early as September this
season (20% of you 25-man). Montero is the wild card here. If he continues to excel,
you can dump both Santana and Marcum, end September with
Niese-Harvey-Gee-Wheeler-Montero and have Syndergaard in the wings. Domingo Tapia joins the team as your closer, Parnell
moves back to the 8th inning, and Edgin and Lethersich are your 7th
inning guys. This is now a quality pitching staff. And, you haven’t spent a
buck yet on a new outfield.
I like it.

I'd hate to throw Tapia in the bullpen. Let him continue to develop what is probably the best fastball in the system, along with his secondary stuff, and hopefully they have something more than a bullpen arm.
Tapia has 2 pitches... 98-100 FB, 97 slider
he's Mario Rivera in the making
Tapia will be tomorrow's starter
