DRAFT: - Day 2 - Make It Or Break It - Top 300 Players Left

Today... is the real draft.

Most baseball teams are not successful because of the guys they drafted in the first round, nor did they win the pennant with players picked after round 25...  no, it's day two in the draft where you learn what your scouting team can accomplish.

Every team will begin today still drafting the best player left standing on their board, but, at some point, they will have to pick players positionaly to make sure each of their short-season teams have players at every position.

In my opinion, we saw a good amount of surprises yesterday. There were at least 10 players chosen that weren't in anybody's first round mock. And the Cubs and Yankees picked guys that weren't in anyone's mock... period.

What all this means is round two and three are going to have some very talented players.

Secondly, yesterday was bat day. Most of your top hitters are gone, simply because the teams piled on the very few that projected out as a possible star in baseball. This was a weak hitting draft and if you wanted one of these kids you neede to act fast.

What all that means is today will be a pitchers day, especially with the college guys that would have gone earlier if teams thought they would accept slot money.
