Durham 7, Buffalo 0

The best offense in the International League is feeling the loss of its best hitter. In the first game in a season and a half without the hit machine known as Jesus Feliciano, the Bisons were blanked by the Durham Bulls, 7-0, Tuesday night from Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Buffalo was held to just one single, a two-out knock from Mike Jacobs in the first inning. The team failed to advance a runner past first base all game. The IL leader in hits and batting average, Feliciano had his contract selected by the Mets on Monday night. The 2009 Bisons MVP played 183 games with Buffalo and posted a Modern Era-best .331 batting average the Herd.  Without him, the Bisons failed to get going on Tuesday. Bulls' starter Carlos Hernandez worked the first seven innings of the shutout. He walked two and struck out eight Bisons batters.
For Buffalo, the loss went to Dillon Gee (6-3). A four-run, two-out rally in the fourth inning did in the Herd starter. Ryan Shealy homered over the Blue Monster for a 2-0 lead and Elliot Johnson and Desmond Jennings followed with back-to-back RBI infield singles for a 4-0 lead.

BISONS NOTES: After scoring 31 runs in the first three games of the roadtrip, the Bisons have no runs on just four hits in their last two games...Justin Turner went 0-3 with a walk. He failed to get a hit for the first time in 11 games with the Bisons...Jose De La Torre pitched 2.2 scoreless innings of relief.
