Gnats shutout Tourists 6-0


The final game of the four game series between the Asheville Tourists and the Savannah Sand Gnats was played Friday evening at Grayson Stadium.
Fans (1,542) saw starting Sand Gnat pitcher, Mark Cohoon pitch a complete game and only allowed three hits(Tourists ss Joey Wong had a single and two doubles and went 3-for-3). Cohoon was outstanding and struck out 10 in the shutout performance. With the win, Cohoon improved his record to 5-1 and tied Fuller for the most wins for the Sand Gnats.
Gnats scored two runs in the 5th: back to back walks to cDock Doyle and 1bAlex Gregory, both scored on a double by cfPedro Zapata.
In the 7th inning, Gnats scored four runs: Cesar Puello doubled followed by an infield hit by Doyle. Gregory doubled to score Puello. 2bAlonso Harris tripled to drive in two runs. A single by cfJuan Lagares scored Harris.

So proud of you, Mark Cohoon! I keep writing comments about promotions~and I'll do it again, so maybe the "rght" person will
see it haha...and do something about it. Come on Mets~Time to promote some guys from Savannah~COHOON, MOORE,(24 years old),and FULLER Each has something special- Combined they have great ERAs, Top with WHIP, Top in Strikeouts...IT"S TIME TO MOVE ON and SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO AT A HIGHER LEVEL.

Moreover, these kids aren't getting any younger and need to move on pronto.

I'm going to write a piece about this over the weekend. There's no one in Binghamton ready to go up, and there is no one in St. lucie ready to go to Binghamton.

Scott Moviel will probably be removed from the Lucy rotation which will open up room for one of the three you mentioned. The other two will most probably finish the season in Savannah.
