Mets Minor League Report – May 8

Savannah (19-11) – not scheduled.

St Lucie (21-11) edges Daytona (16-16) 6-5
Aderlin Rodriguez singled in the winning run with 2 out in the bottom of the 10th. Our A-Rod had a big night, going 3-5, HR, 2B, 3 RBI, R.
Dustin Lawley: 2- 5, 2B.
Matt Reynolds: 1- 4, HR, 2 RBI, R.
Starter Alex Panteliodes: 2 ER, 2 H, (HR) BB, with 4 K in 5.0 innings of work.
Hamilton Bennett blew the save, allowing 2 ER on 3 H, BB, in 2.0 innings. Frank Francisco (1.0 innings with 0 R, 2 BB and 2 K) and Randy Fontanez (W, 3-0, 1.0 innings with 0 R, H) finished the game, holding Daytona scoreless until Lucie pulled it out.

Binghamton (17-16) tops Trenton (18-15) 3-1
Binghamton starter Logan Verrett (W, 5-1) allowed 1 R in 8.2 innings, on 5 H, BB with 9 K.
Jeff Walters (S, 9) got the final out in the 9th for the save..
Cesar Puello has picked it up in the last few games. He was 2-4 today with 2 HR and all 3 Bingo RBI.
Wilfredo Tovar: 3-3

At this time, Las Vegas (15-15) trails Round Rock (18-14) 6-0 after 2 ½ innings.
Carlos Torres is getting beat up: 6 ER, 9 H, (HR) 2 BB with 4 K. Isn’t it time to give up on this guy?
