10-15-13 – Baseball America - 41. Monte’ Harrison, of, Lee’s Summit West (Mo.) HS: Coveted wide receiver also has one of the best arms in the class as well as plus speed, and he has developed as a hitter. http://www.baseballamerica.com/college/2014-draft-top-50-october-2013-carlos-rodon/

11-21-13 – BA Top 100 High School Players - 22 Monte Harrison OF R/R 6-2 201 Lee’s Summit West (Mo.) Nebraska http://www.baseballamerica.com/college/2014-high-school-top-100-with-commitments/

12-10-13 – TTF – Top 50 HS Players - 25. Monte Harrison, OF, Lee’s Summit HS (MO) - A two-sport star, the 6’-2”, 200-pound right-hander may be a tough sign as he is one of the top wide receivers in the country and has a scholarship to play at Nebraska. On the diamond, he has plus speed (6.65/60), a plus arm (97 mph from the outfield) and has developed into a solid hitter, and his size suggests more power will come. Over 83 at-bats as a junior, he hit .457 with 12 doubles, three triples and six home runs. One of the more exciting players available with a ton of upside but football may get in the way. http://throughthefencebaseball.com/2014-mlb-draft-top-50/40532#zz88YJZTOG8iEa1Z.99

12-9-13 – Pine Tar Press  -  38- OF Monte Harrison Lee’s Summit West HS (Nebraska commit for football and baseball) 8/10/95- The similarities between Monte Harrison and the last Kansas City area kid to go in the first round out of HS are endless. Both of them are talented athletes who excel in 3 sports and both have the type of arms that could also gain attention on the mound. Both were committed to Nebraska for football and they also both had early birthdays for their class. Harrison has plenty of upside with a cannon for an arm in the OF and as he continues to be educated on how to be a baseball player his ceiling is certainly high.  He is no different than most Midwest hitters though as his hit tool needs serious refinement and reps against quality arms. He has a tendency to be a bit over aggressive on the diamond and I could see where some would see a potential diva type but one would hope that as he ages he will continue to mature as a person too. 7-2-13  -  2014  - Top 100 High School Prospects - 85. Monte Harrison- OF, Lee’s Summit West (MO) HS http://www.ninebaseball.org/Wordpress/jeff-sullivans-top-100-2014-prospects/

7-24-13  -  Monte Harrison, of, Lee’s Summit West (Mo.)/Marucci Elite - The muscular 6-foot-3, 200-pound Harrison is a physical specimen and one of the best athletes in the class. The three-sport standout—who had scholarship offers from Arkansas, Oregon and Ohio State—recently committed to Nebraska as one of the top wide receiver recruits in the country. He has a plus arm that is one of the best in the class. Harrison produces plus run times with a powerful running style, which could make him a strong defender. He shows balance and bat speed in batting practice and should improve his feel to hit with more game reps. His natural strength portends future power. http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/tyler-koleks-heavy-fastball-among-tournament-of-stars-standouts/

11-21-13 – BA Top 100 High School Players - 61 Reese Cooley OF R/R 6-1 197 Fleming Island, Orange Park, Fla. Chipola College http://www.baseballamerica.com/college/2014-high-school-top-100-with-commitments/

2-11-14 - Monte Harrison is the No. 1 guy out of the Midwest and he could very well be one of the top athletes in the class. He is a dual sport guy and had a great senior season on the football field this year when his team won the Class 5A State title in Missouri. He had 29 touchdowns this year and caught 60 passes. He is headed off to Nebraska in the fall and he has a bright future in both sports. - See more at: http://www.studentsports.com/baseball/2014/02/11/monte-harrison-leads-midwest-crop/#sthash.97Y8kxce.dpuf
