Mets Minor League Report: April 12, 2014

MMLR Players of the Day: St. Lucie Starter, Michael Fulmer.

Las Vegas (7-3) stuns Fresno (4-6) 1-0 in 10 innings.
Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched a masterpiece. 7.0 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 2 BB, 8 K. Dice-K’s performance is worthy of Player of the Day mention, but I believe the PotD should be a legit prospect.
Jeff Walters pitched 1.2 innings: 0 R, 2 H, BB, K.
Josh Edgin (W, 3-0) gets his 3rd win of the year in relief: 1.0 IP, 0 R, H.
Vic Black (S, 1) comes in to record the final out.

Another night with little offense. In 9 innings the 51’s mustered only 3 hits. The 3 Vegas hits were by Eric Campbell, Bobby Abreu, (who else?) and Zach Lutz.
But then, in the top of the 10th , Kirk Nieuwenhuis became the hero, with a game winning home run.

Binghamton (6-3) bows to New Hampshire (3-6) 9-4

Righty, Tyler Pill (L. 0-2) was scorched for the second straight start: 4.2 IP, 7 R, 10 H, (HR) BB, 4 K.
Jack Leathersich only strikes out 4 in his 2.1 IP, R, 2 H, (HR) BB.
T.J. Chism: 1.0 IP, R, 3 H, BB.

St. Lucie (5-4) stings Fort Myers (6-3) in 10 innings: 6-3

It was Michael Fulmer‘s turn to pitch a gem, with only 1 mistake: 7.0 IP, R, 5 H, (HR) 0 BB, 5 K, leaves with a lead, but gets a no decision
Beck Wheeler (BS, 1) got rocked: 1.0 IP, 3 R, 2 H, (HR) BB, 2 K.

Nimmo is absolutly on fire! Hitting. 406 with a. 525 obp is ridiculous! A few more extra base hits would be The icing on the cake.
Philipp Evans good start is a positive suprise too.
