The New York Mets are in the World Series for the first time since 2000 and local fans are invited to celebrate at their spring training home.
The St. Lucie Mets will host a Kickoff Watch Party for game 1 of the Fall Classic on Tuesday at Tradition Field. Admission is free but fans are encouraged to make a donation upon entry to benefit the St. Lucie County Boys and Girls Club.
Game 1 begins at 8:07 p.m. Tradition Field will open at 6:30 p.m. The Mets are facing the Kansas City Royals in Kansas City.
The game will be shown on the video board in left field and on the TVs at the Tiki Bar along the third base line. The terrace section along the left field line will be open for seating.
The terrace concession stand will be open during the Watch Party.
Fans also have the ability to purchase playoff and National League Championship merchandise.
Portions of the proceeds from the Kickoff Watch Party will go to the St. Lucie County Boys and Girls Club.
