Metstradamus - I'm Not Even Waiting For The End

It’s 12-1 in the sixth and I have no patience to wait until the end of this game to blog. We’re going to lose.

Somebody suggested that Steven Matz needs a sports psychologist. Headspace was a talking point early in his career. Tonight’s outing had nothing to do with headspace. It’s about him coming back from injury and not being able to top 93 with his fastball. If this is the new reality for Steven Matz, then he’s going to be the ace next year … for the Hanwah Eagles.

It’s 13-1 now, and the guy who is in charge of the ambient audio sounds has given up.

Also, great job sending down Luis Guillorme for Franklyn Kilome so that Todd Frazier can be around to give a pat on the back to Matz. Must have provided an infinite amount of energy and life.

This team - WILL NEVER WIN - when they feel it is OK for the back half of their pitching staff to allow 7-8 runs per 9 innings. The 1927 Yankees could not surmount that.

If the Met had the Dodgers pitching, they'd be 34-17...or better.

IF I were a gambling man, last nights matchup was as close to a guarantee as I have ever seen in sports. The Mets have a way of rolling over for the Braves, but couple that with the pitching match up and you could have made some serious bank in Vegas!

Sad jokes aside, 2020 cannot end soon enough (for many reasons, to include this edition of the Mets).

Matz cannot be in the team's plans moving forward.

Mets need to stack the lineup with grade B players as soon as they are elliminated.

Our luck would be a career ending injury to a core player.
