Alex Globbi at Medium posted his second mock draft this week and he had at #10 for the Mets…

Steven Hajjar, LHP, Michigan

Next On Deck -

24. Steve Hajjar, LHP, Michigan

6-foot-4, 205 pounds. Lean, lanky frame that projects to add on more weight and muscle. Solid athlete that controls his levers well. Fastball sits in the mid-90 with natural arm-side actions. Above-average breaking ball that he has feel for. Has roughly 20 innings under his belt at the collegiate level. Teams will need to see him more in order to feel comfortable taking him, but there’s a lot to like in the upside and profile.

Michigan pitcher Steven Hajjar has only thrown 20 innings in his collegiate career, but the left-hander is still considered a top 2021 MLB draft prospect.

MLB Pipeline senior writer Jim Callis ranked the top 15 college prospects for the 2021 draft on Monday, and Hajjar checked in at No. 14.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder redshirted as a true freshman in 2019 after tearing the ACL in his right knee was one of the Wolverines' top starters in 2020. Hajjar made four starts before the season was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic, posting a 2.70 ERA with 24 strikeouts in 20 innings. He allowed 18 hits and walked 11.

Aaron Fitt - @aaronfitt

Here's a pretty intriguing lefty…  Reid VanScoter, a transfer from Binghamton last year, has missed the last 2 years recovering from injury, but he looked great today. Attacked at 92-94 from a 3/4 slot, used a quality low-80s slider as putaway pitch on 2 Ks

Joe - @JoeDoyleMiLB

Miami (OH) RHP Sam Bachman is creeping into first round conversation after a very loud Fall. 94-96/t99 with immense run + sink. Low arm slot too. Lots of deception. Gyro-heavy slider 84-86 @ 2600 RPM. Firm CH 85-87 with huge fade. Mirrors FB. Big arm

11-16-20 -  Joe - @JoeDoyleMiLB

Vanderbilt RHP Jack Leiter making big strides. Already revered as a top prospect in the class, Leiter's fastball averaged 96 this Fall, up from 92.2 in 2020. Spin up across the board. Breaking stuff lagging. Slider efficiency WIP. CB inconsistent. Needs polish

11-16-20  -  Joe - @JoeDoyleMiLB

Wake Forest RHP Ryan Cusick made some drastic changes this Summer. Changed the seam orientation on his fastball to mirror that of a traditional 12-6 CB. Ditched the SL of 2020 for said 12-6 CB. Was apparently 98-100 w/ride 2 weeks ago. Another potential first round arm to watch

11-18-20: Ian Smith @FlaSmitty

Had to re-watch the end of the Gators scrimmage before work today, and my goodness Jud Fabian. Took a 2-2 Ben Specht pitch and deposited it OVER the berm. Reportedly 440+ feet with an exit velo of 116 off the bat

11-18-20   -  Joe - @JoeDoyleMiLB

As good as Tommy Mace, Jack Leftwich and Christian Scott were last night, OF Jud Fabian stole the show. Fabian is a projected Top 5 pick. This 450 foot bomb came off Ben Specht, another arm likely to go in the first 5 or so rounds of next July's draft.

11-18-20  -  Prospects Live  @ProspectsLive

Jordan Wicks may be the top LHP on the board. His above average command and yo-yo changeup have many scouts believing he'll thrive as a big league starter.

11-18-20  -  D1Baseball - @d1baseball

4YR JR Shea Kramer is the Swiss Army knife and he is in the mix at first base and the outfield. Defends at a high level and he brings 82 career starts to the table

11-20-2020  -  D1Baseball @d1baseball

A high-slot RHP with a good, repeatable delivery, Ethan Smith  pounded the zone at 90-93 mph with a high-spin FB (up to 2526 rpm, and repeatedly above 2400) and a swing-&-miss slider at 81-84

An awful lot of talent there. How did we ever pick Cecchini?
