After pitching to a 5-2 record with a 1.83 ERA with Brooklyn in 2018, Jaison
split 2019 with Brooklyn, Binghamton, St. Lucie, and Columbia going 5-8 and a
5.25 ERA. I have not seen him get any action yet this winter.
22 LHP Cesar
Loaiza who was 1-4 with a 5.71 ERA with the Kingsport Mets in 2019 is on
the Aguilas de Zulia. Cesar saw action in
Saturday’s game and did not record an out as he was charged with 3 runs on 2
walks and a hit in a 10-4 Aguilas loss (Box

Thrilled to hear that the Mets are looking to spend to acquire, rather than trading away top prospects. I think a bunch of our kids will be in baseball's top 100 within a year or two, and hopefully at least a few in the top 20.
Thrilled that we are moving into non-tender and winter meeting weeks. Big things will soon be happening.
Colon hasn't pitched in the majors since 2018. After leaving the Mets following the 2016 season, he was 14-26 with a 6.13 ERA.
Suggesting that the Mets get Colon for 2021 might not be the dumbest idea imaginable - but it's at least an honorable mention.
I'd love to see him in Syracuse this year. He would be a fan favorite but I agree if they think that he would give them meaningful innings in Flushing this year - they are not using their thinking caps.
If Colon gives the Mets meaningful (any) innings at Citi this year, something has gone horribly wrong. Maybe more than one thing . . the offseason was a disaster in finding and signing pitching and/or their top 7 starters all got hurt. Either way, they won't be playing for October at such a time.
(Unfortunately . .I'd kinda like to see that storybook ending, but only for Colon's sake, not the 2021 Mets sake).
The Wilpons always found so many incredible underperformers. I just watched the end of the Mets 2006 season clincher...so many excellent players. Of course, they also had the usual dozen plus dead weights. They had 6 guys go 24 for 179 (.134), and 9 pitchers allow 181 runs in 233 innings (7 runs per 9). A Wilpon specialty...using back ups who belonged in AA.
