Mets
acting GM Zack Scott busted on drunk driving charge in White Plains. Scott,
44, was nabbed at 4:17 a.m. Tuesday when cops caught him snoozing in a 2018
Toyota on South Lexington Avenue, near the federal courthouse and police
headquarters, the city’s Police Capt. James Spencer said Wednesday.
SNY.TV: Per
White Plains Police Capt. James Spencer, who spoke to the Post, Scott refused
to give blood or take a breathalyzer test. He took a field sobriety test and
failed.
Mike
Vaccaro NY Post: Zack Scott’s Mets fate was sealed long before DWI arrest. “But
let’s be perfectly clear about something: Zack Scott was already on paper-thin
ground as acting GM of the Mets. His job performance alone has been, in a word,
unacceptable. The Mets are two games under .500, and while that is the product
of some team-wide underperformance, make no mistake: when Scott could have made
an impact, at the trade deadline, with the Mets still in command of the NL
East, he made one trade.”

1972 | Coming to bat in the top of the eighth inning trailing 8-0, the Mets score seven runs and add another four tallies in the ninth to stun the Astros, 11-8. The come-from-behind victory is the Amazins' biggest comeback in franchise history. |
