2025 Draft - Mets Pick 10.313 - RHP - Tyler McLoughlin - Georgia

Tyler McLoughlin is a right-handed pitcher selected by the New York Mets in the 10th round (312th overall) of the 2025 MLB Draft out of the University of Georgia.

A redshirt senior, he previously played three seasons at Emory University, a Division III program, before transferring to Georgia.

6-foot-3, 185 pounds, with a fastball reaching 95-97 mph, complemented by a cutter and changeup

At Georgia in 2025, McLoughlin worked primarily as a reliever, appearing in 18 games with a 4.12 ERA over 24 innings, striking out 32 and walking 12.

His scouting report highlights a high-octane fastball with good life, though his command needs refinement, and his secondary pitches (cutter, changeup) are still developing.

McLoughlin’s draft slot value was approximately $150,000, and as a college senior, he’s likely to sign with the Mets, for a $10,000 bonus, starting his professional career in their minor league system, possibly with their Single-A affiliate.

His relief role and raw stuff suggest a potential middle-relief or setup role in pro ball, with room to grow if he sharpens his command.

Not a bad senior sign. A 4.12-ERA in the SEC is pretty respectable.

I would push him to A ball for the rest of the season and see what he can do.

                Rating – C+
