Wyatt Vincent is an outfielder from Nixa High
School in Nixa, Missouri, selected by the New York Mets in the 11th round
(343rd overall) of the 2025 MLB Draft.
His draft
slot value was approximately $150,000, though as a later-round pick, he could
negotiate above or below this amount.
Standing
5-foot-11 and weighing 180 pounds, Vincent is a right-handed batter and thrower
known for his athleticism and versatility. A multi-sport star, he excelled in
baseball and football at Nixa, where he was a standout wide receiver, catching
64 passes for 1,494 yards and 18 touchdowns since his sophomore year.
In baseball,
he’s considered one of Nixa’s best hitters, with a strong arm (90+ mph outfield
velocity) and plus speed (6.8-6.9 60-yard dash).
His offensive
profile features a line-drive approach with gap power, though he’s still
developing home run pop. Defensively, he’s best suited for center or left field
due to his speed and arm strength.
Perfect Game
ranked him as Missouri’s No. 14 high school player and No. 117 overall prospect
in the 2025 class, while ESPN listed him at No. 247 in their final draft
rankings.
Vincent
committed to Missouri State in August 2022, citing the program’s rising
trajectory and proximity to home as key factors. He played summer ball in the
Appalachian League in 2025 and worked out with the Mets, Texas Rangers, and
Miami Marlins pre-draft
If he signs
with the Mets, Vincent would likely start in their Rookie-level affiliate, such
as the Florida Complex League Mets.
If he opts for college, he’ll join Missouri State’s 2025 class under coach Joey Hawkins.
Mack –
Question… the
Mets drafted his much more Talented teammate earlier. Was this guy drafted to help
him?
He’s pretty
good on his own.
We may have
to give props to his coach in years to come for turning the Mets scouts on to
these two.
Rating – B+
