71. OF Rafael Fernandez – 22/yrs. old - Rafael was a pleasant surprise in 2010, first going .253 for Savannah and ending up the season .300 for St. Lucie. 2011 will be the 6th year Fernandez will be a Met, starting out in 2006 with the DSL Mets. Did have 5-HRs last season, but not known for his pop. Organizational outfielder, who will fight it out with the returning Carlos Guzman, in Binghamton.
2011: B-Met’s outfield
2012: Buffalo

2011: B-Mets
2012: Buffalo or out of system
73. OF Carlos Guzman – 24/yrs. old - Guzman went down with a season-ending injury in 2010 and will be back in Binghamton fighting to get his starting outfield job back. It’s tough to miss a beat in this game, especially if you are an unheralded non-draft pick that has had to fight his way season after season. Truly one of the best outfield arms in minor league baseball.
2011: Binghamton
2012: Buffalo
74. RP Michael Powers – 25/yrs. old – Powers has been quietly becoming one of the premier relief arms in the ststem; however, he needs to start moving. In 2010, he got a taste of Lucy (5.29) after a superior stint with Savannah (41-appearances, 2.28). The 6-3 right hander ( is every Met pitcher a 6-3 right hander?) needs to come out strong, wind up in Binghamton and be ready to reach Queens sometime in 2012
2011: St. Lucie pen
2012: Binghamton-Buffalo
75. 2B J.B. Brown – 22/yrs. old – Brown’s first season as a Met was a rousing success: .308/.347/.453/.800, 201-AB, 3-HR, 29-RBI for Brooklyn. He quietly came to the Mets as a 14th rounder last year. There isn’t a pitch he doesn’t like swinging at. Rivals named him the 9th best fielding middle fielder in baseball. Great bat. Great glove. Interesting.
2011: Savannah
2012: St. Lucie
