Normally I'm talking trades or free agents but I have a few prospect questions today.
1 - When do you think Montero will get the promotion to AAA? The guy has walked only 1 person in the first 3 games and he's only given up a run or two. I'm not much for rushing kids up but he's not a 20 year old guys and his command is incredible (the other reason you don't usually rush pitchers.)
Mets pitchers are dropping like flies right now. I think this will slow down his promotion to Vegas.
There's no rush to send him there. The Mets know what they have here and he's very close to ready.
The problem is he's the single most sought after Mets prospect right now. It's going to be hard to hold on to him if the Mets get offered a George Springer type trade.
2 - Nimmo and Plawecki are absolutely racking. Both are young (Nimmo especially) and it's early in the season but when do you see each of them getting promoted? Also is there a chance that either of them get a taste of AA towards the end of he season?
Young means nothing if you are ready. Nimmo is playing like Harper did. He will go before the all-star break because of the needs of a future Mets outfielder and the fact that there is room for him in Florida (basically a team without an offense).
It will be harder for Plawecki, who is blocked by Maron. I can't see him moving until d'Arnaud gets the call to Queens and Centeno goes to Las Vegas.

Does the d'Arnaud injury push everyone up the catching food chain? Does it mean Centeno to AAA, Maron up, Plawecki up, etc?
Well, Centeno was promoted to AAA this afternoon.
We may see no other movement. Blake Forsythe is on fire as a part timer at AA and he may step in.
Cam Maron is hitting around .280 at A+ and may just be in the way of Kevin Plawecki.
