Steve Gelbs interviewed Steve Cohen on SNY tonight. Here are some of the highlights posted tonight on twitter:
It started “Behind the bag!” It ended up in @StevenACohen2’s possession.

Next stop: The Mets Museum.
An incredible reveal during tonight’s interview. Not only does Steve Cohen own the Mets, but he owns maybe the most important piece of Mets history. pic.twitter.com/jZy2JWwGxO
Steve Cohen on SNY: “I’m a little surprised we haven’t been able to find people for the front office. I thought it would be a little bit easier than it has been. Baseball is kind if funny where you have to ask for permission and we are not getting a lot of permission."

“We’re having conversations with everybody that matters. Anybody that the fans are excited by. Hopefully something happens, but I’m not gonna predict it.”

-Steve Cohen on Mets FA targets.

Watching the Cohen interview on SNY's re-air. Struck by the candor of this quote: "We can take advantage of the climate that a lot of teams are in, trying to cut expenses. I think we'll be able to get ballplayers at prices that maybe in a normal year we wouldn't be able to get."

The cameo from @alexmomof5, confirming that the Twitter persona taking #MetsTwitter by storm, is what she’s experienced on a daily basis for decades.

“I’m just glad he has a new audience.” pic.twitter.com/lPEFdqmlhD
We talked about it on Hot Stove but bears repeating. You never say never about anything, but that aside it’s hard to see Mets bringing in Theo Epstein in a year. Steve Cohen went out of his way to say he’s thankful to have Alderson. It’s Alderson’s team for at least several years

In an interview with SNY's @SteveGelbs, Mets owner Steve Cohen says the team's black jerseys could be coming back on an occasional basis. pic.twitter.com/ips1kdR2MU

I know a lot of people have asked where they could see the interview online. If you missed it, here’s an extended clip with some highlights from the conversation: https://t.co/KpZf8nw6J1

The interview will also RE-AIR tonight at 10 pm.

Steve Cohen has done a great job being accessible to the media and the fans so far.
If all the top free agents go elsewhere and Sandy goes back to his previous signees of Marcum, Francisco, and Bastardo, I think the fans will freak out.
Too much money to spend. Cohen will deliver. Money talks.
Still as psyched as Mets fans are, one goal is to at least match their in-town rival Yanks. They clearly have big holes to fill to get there.
Don't spend that $$ on Bart. In 2017 and 2018, his ERA was 6.10. He is now 2 years older. Those days are over.
I think that the Mets' top 10 prospects are very encouraging.
Dom Smith - great to be doing camps and touching the communities.
I wonder if the Mets will pursue that Japanese pitcher as an SP 5? All depends if they think he is MLB caliber in the first place.
