The Sand Gnats beat Bowling Green, 2-1, in the first game (7 innings) of a doubleheader Saturday night at Historic Grayson Stadium, in Savannah, Georgia.
Mets prospect SP Robert Carson (3-3) through up 5.2 innings, striking out 6 and giving up one run. He finished the game with a yearly ERA of 2.23. Josh 'Stinny' Stinson (2.92) earned his first serve of the year, with 1.1 innings of runless ball.
There was only one hitting star in the game because there was only one hit... a 2-run homer run by OF Eric Campbell. Bowling Gree's SP Frankie De Los Santos (3-3) pitched a complete heartbreaker, striking out six.
