The Bubble List - Ex-Prospects Flourishing

Some go down, others return.

That's how the system works.

Some minor league players almost dissapear at one level, get sent down for a recharge, and come back strong. Other's plug along and never seem to make big headlines, but at the same time do nothing wrong in the minors. A great example of this would be RP Matt Linstrom.

Here's some of the current Mets making a new name for themselves:

C - Javier Valentin - a recent signing, the 33-year old is currently batting .333/.474/.667/1.140 at AAA.

RP Elmer Dessens - the 38-year old is dominating (3-1, 1.14, 0.85, in 16 appearances, 4 saves) at the AAA level.

RP Tim McNab - like Dessens, putting up great AAA numbers (1-0, 1.84, 1.09) for a very bad team.

C Josh Thole - no one thought this kid would get this far, now he's dominating (.357/.419/.479/.897) at the AA level.

RP Adam Bostick - got a second shot at AA this year and is proving it was a good idea... 2-0, 2.30, 1.02 in 9 appearances.
