Bisons Announce 2010 Promotional Schedule
ALL Ticket Prices Remain the Same for New Season
The Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, today announced their promotional calendar for the 2010 season. The team has put in place an extensive list of special events, promotions and giveaways throughout the summer to remain the most affordable family entertainment value in Western New York.
The Bisons also announced that they have not raised any ticket prices for the 2010 season. All Bisons fans will be able to visit Coca-Cola Field for as little as $7.50, while seniors and children 14 years old and younger can get in for as little as $5.00!
The Bisons will open their 125th season of professional baseball on Thursday, April 14 against the Pawtucket Red Sox at Coca-Cola Field (3:05 p.m.).
“The experience of coming to a Bisons game has always included the fun and exciting promotions and events happening throughout the ballpark,” said Mike Buczkowski, Bisons Vice President/General Manager. “Our fans know that when they purchase a Bisons ticket they will be entertained both on the field and off, every time they come to Coca-Cola Field.”
Bisons Begin 125th Season with 7-Game Homestand
The 125th season of professional baseball in Buffalo will begin on Opening Day, Wednesday, April 14 at 3:05 p.m. against the Pawtucket Red Sox. The first seven home games of 2010 set the tone for an amazing season of events. Game 3 will be the team’s first fridaynightbash!® of the season, sponsored by Seneca Gaming Corporation, with Post-Game Fireworks. The final four games of the first homestand will be Kids’ Week, presented by Anderson’s. All games from April 17-19 will have 1:05 p.m. game start, a special $6 ticket, food and merchandise discounts and special activities for kids. Monday, April 19 will also feature an Anderson’s Ice Cream Giveaway to the first 2,000 kids in attendance.
fridaynightbash!® Schedule Heats up in Summer Months
If it’s Friday night and you’re in Downtown Buffalo, you know where the best party can be found. The Bisons’ fridaynightbash!® series, presented by Seneca Gaming Corporation, returns with 11 dates on the schedule. This year, the team has three consecutive fridaynightbash!® games in July from July 2nd- 16th, and two more in August (6th and 20th). Each fridaynightbash!® game comes complete with the team’s award-winning post game Fireworks Show. Starting in May, you can check out the new and improved Bisons Plaza Party. Along with a new set up and new discounted food and drink menu, fans will be able to take part in games and activities for both kids and adults. Great Live Music from local bands ranging from classic rock to modern pop will also accompany the new Bisons plaza parties.
The Independence Eve Tradition with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra
No summer at the ballpark is complete without the great Independence Eve Celebration with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus and the Largest Fireworks Show of the Year, presented by KeyBank. The 16th installment of this must-attend night at Coca-Cola Field will be on Saturday, July 3 against the Rochester Red Wings (6:05 p.m.) More than a 280,000 fans have taken in this great Western New York summer tradition since 1995.
The Weekend Now Begins on Thursdays!
You wanted it, you got it. The Bisons have moved most of their Thursday games to a 7:05 p.m. start in 2010. This change allows fans to unofficially welcome the weekend one night early. The move to night games has also allowed the team to schedule First Responders Night to benefit the 100 Club of Buffalo, presented by Stop DWI and FM Communications Inc. and Kenwood on Thursday, June 17. On Thursday, July 15 there will be 2012 All-Star Game Pennant Giveaway and Thursday, August 5 will be the Buffalo’s Historic Central Terminal Replica Giveaway, presented by Hamburg Overhead Door & LiftMaster. The customary Fan Appreciation Night is back on the final game of the year, Thursday, September 2 against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.
