TODAY’S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons host the Indianapolis Indians in the second game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:35 p.m.). The Herd was shutout in last night’s game, 2-0. Buffalo is 2-3 so far on an eight-game homestand that began with a four-game split with Lehigh Valley. After Sunday, the Bisons will travel to Gwinnett for the start of an eight-game roadtrip.



vs. THE INDIANS: The Bisons trail the Indians 4-1 in the season series. Indy won a four-game set over the Herd at Victory Field, May 6-9. The Bisons haven’t won a four-game set over the Indians since they took three of four at Indy from June 28 - July 1, 2004. Since then, the Herd has five splits and six series losses to Indianapolis (16-28 record).



MAINE EVENT: RHP JOHN MAINE is scheduled to continue his major league rehab with a start for Buffalo tonight. Maine has been on the Mets’ DL since May 21 with a right shoulder weakness. He started his rehab assignment on Sunday with Double-A Binghamton, allowing just one hit with five strikeouts in four innings against Trenton. This season, Maine is 1-3 with a 6.19ERA with the Mets. In the past three seasons, Maine has won 32 games with New York, reaching a career-high 15 in 2007.



F-MART: OF FERNANDO MARTINEZ now has eight hits in his six games since returning to the Bisons on June 11. The outfielder has averaged .347 (8-23) with three doubles, two home runs and seven runs scored. The outfielder missed 23 games with Buffalo because of a left hamstring strain. Martinez was on the disabled list from May 14 - June 7.



BISONS BITS: The Bisons are 4-0 on fridaynightbash! games at Coca-Cola Field this season...INF JUSTIN TURNER failed to reach base for the first time as a Bison last night. Turner went 0-4 and saw his 18-game on-base streak end...LHP BOBBY LIVINGSTON will piggy-back RHP John Maine tonight. Livingston is 2-2 with a 3.98ERA at home this season...LHP ROY MERRITT made his Bisons’ debut last night and faced the minimum over two innings. The southpaw was the 47th player to appear for Buffalo this season.
