Lehigh Valley 6, Buffalo 3

From Press Release:

The Herd lost their sixth straight contest on Saturday night, dropping the first game of the eight-game homestand 6-3 at the hands of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs from Coca-Cola Field.  Following a 32-minute rain delay prior to the first pitch, the IronPigs got the scoring started in the second inning. With two outs in the frame, Lehigh Valley strung together four consecutive singles to take a 2-0 lead. After Lehigh Valley tacked on a run in the top of the fourth, Mike Jacobs broke up the no-hit bid by I-Pigs' starter Drew Carpenter with a solo home run in the fourth inning, to cut the deficit to 3-1.  However, the Pig's would come right back to score three runs in the sixth inning, all of which were charged to the Bisons starter Bobby Livingston before he was removed without recording an out in the inning.  On the very first pitch following the short delay, Fernando Martinez launched his third homerun of the year to make it a 6-3 game, which would end up the final tally. Martinez was playing in just his second game since missing 31 games due to a left hamstring injury.
