4-20 from: - http://thecollegebaseballblog.com/2010/04/20/big-west-players-of-the-week-6  - Pacific senior LH Hunter Carnevale is the Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Hunter Carnevale (Roseville, Calif./Granite Bay HS) picked up a pair of wins in 11 scoreless relief innings to pace the Pacific pitching staff and earn Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week accolades. Carnevale made two extended appearances out of the bullpen to earn the wins. In Tuesday’s 5-2 non-conference victory against northern California rival Sacramento State, Carnevale allowed just three hits in 5.1 innings of work. He walked one and struck out five after entering the game in a 2-2 tie. He earned the win in Saturday’s 7-4 game against the Anteaters, throwing 5.2 innings of six-hit ball. Carnevale dropped his ERA to a team-best 3.11, including a stellar 1.74 mark in conference games.

6-1-10 from: - www.pacifictigers.cstv.com/.../060110aaa.html  - Carnevale headlined Pacific's five All-Big West Conference recipients this year as he was named first team as a middle relief pitcher. Carnevale found his niche as a long-reliever in 2010 and led the team's ERA for the majority of the season, finally finish second with a 3.53 ERA. His five wins this year were fourth-best among Tiger pitchers behind Pacific's three starters, and lead the way for any relievers out of the bullpen. Hunter turned it on midway through this season with a stretch of 26.0-consecutive innings over nine appearances during the month of April, in which he did not allow an earned run across the plate. That gave Carenvale his first-career Big West Pitcher of the Week award for the week of April 19. Hunter closed out 2010 leading in total appearances with 24 over a span of 74.0 innings pitched. Carnevale gave up the least amount of hits for long inning pitchers with 79, and his 66 punchouts led the pitching staff. In conference play, three of Hunter's five wins came against Big West opponents in 2010 and he led the squad with 10 appearances and 30 strikeouts. The all-conference award marks the first of Carnevale's four-year career with the Tigers.

2009 (Junior): - During his junior season, Hunter claimed one of the spots in Pacific's starting rotation developing into the Tigers' Sunday starter. Carnevale displayed versatility and a strong work ethic all season long as he not only served as the Sunday starter, but also started mid-week games on several occasions and tossed from the bullpen in Friday or Saturday games for Pacific. Hunter logged 67.1 innings of work in 2009 for the second most among all pitchers on the Tiger staff and also finished second on the team with 43 strikeouts. He closed out the year with two wins over 11 starts in 19 appearances. Carnevale's first win of the year was also his longest outing in the March 15, 10-2 victory over Houston. Hunter went seven innings deep into the game and did not allow any earned runs while striking out six, marking his season-high number of strikeouts in a single game. Against No. 1 UC Irvine on May 10, Hunter dazzled on the mound, shutting out the Anteaters over 6.2 innings of work to close out the game, as the Tigers trailed by one heading into the bottom of the ninth, 6-5. His second victory of the year was also another seven-inning performance as he limited UC Santa Barbara to two runs in Pacific's 13-3 victory over the Gauchos on April 5.

2008 (Sophomore): - Carnevale's 38.2 innings pitched landed him in the top five for Pacific pitchers during his second year with the team. After starting off his first game of the year with a 4-3 win over Houston on Feb. 23, Hunter earned a starting role in three of his next four games. Against the Cougars, he tossed four innings of scoreless relief with one strikeout and surrendered only two hits. His second victory of the season was a five inning, one-hitter versus Cal State Northridge on May 16, when the Tigers clobbered the ball and gave Carnevale tremendous run support to win a game in which he did not allow any earned runs, 17-5. Opposing batters hit .287 against Hunter, accounting for the second lowest average against for Pacific pitchers. He finished the season with a 2-4 record.

2007 (Freshman): - Hunter came on in relief for the Tigers in the first game of the 2007 season, but quickly cemented his role in the starting rotation. Carnevale made 18 appearances during his freshman campaign, including 14 starts. Hunter tossed 76.2 innings, compiling a 2-5 record and a 5.99 ERA. In Hunter's first start he held Cal State Northridge scoreless through six innings to pick up his first collegiate victory in Pacific's 12-0 win over the Matadors on Feb. 4. Two starts later, Hunter limited the Nevada Wolf Pack to one run on seven hits in 6.2 innings for his second victory. Carnevale finished the season with 38 strikeouts and 31 walks in 76.2 innings.
