As a Sophomore (OSU): Played in 27 games, starting 17 for Oklahoma State in 2008...Had back-to-back three-hit games against San Diego State (3/9) and Missouri State (3/11)...Was 3-for-4 with two triples against SDSU...Tied an OSU record with three home runs against Missouri State as he became just the eighth Cowboy to hit three homers in a game...Finished the contest 3-5 with a career high five RBIs...Was 3-3 with a pair of RBI in a win over Utah Valley (5/2).
As a Freshman (OSU): Started 24 of the 33 games he appeared in for the Cowboys...Scored 12 runs and drew 13 walks in 75 at-bats...Was 2-for-4 with a double, homer and a career high four RBI against Hartford (3/17)...Had career high two hits on four different occasions (2/27 vs. Dallas Baptist, 3/17 in both games of a doubleheader vs. Hartford and 4/1 vs. Baylor).
High School: Attended Plant High School where he played for coach Dennis Brown… Was a two-sport prep star on the diamond and the gridiron...As a senior, he batted .457 with 13 home runs, 10 doubles and 40 RBI...His 13 homers is a school and county record...Was all-state in both baseball and football as a senior...Named Tampa Tribune’s Athlete of the Year.

A North Carolina State recruit, Brown has obvious talent but didn’t necessarily have one of his better days. Normally an outfielder, he was playing shortstop on this day, and while his actions were a little rough his hands and actions suggest that he might be able to play second base with some refinement. Offensively, Brown has a smooth, polished approach from the left side and grades out as an average runner.
