Thoughts:
-Baltimore is very thin in upper level prospects.

-The Orioles had three more ARB-eligible starters last year, all of which were not very successful.

Summary Suggestion: The only position this team has an excess of is second basemen, and, trust me, neither Adams or Andino are going to take the job away from Roberts.

A secondary prospect like Alan Dykstra, Chris Schwinden, Dillon Gee, or Fernando Martinez + a low-level throw-in would probably get this done; however, does either offer a better alternative than Ruben Tejada, Daniel Murphy, and Reese Havens.

The guy you want here is Machado, who will be ready in 2013. Go big for this guy. Offer Jordany Valdespin, Jeurys Familia, and Gilbert Gomez and you’ll never hear a word about Jose Reyes again.
