B-Mets and Sea Dogs Suspended

B-Mets& Sea Dogs Suspended in Portland

PORTLAND, ME – The Binghamton Mets and Portland Sea Dogs completed two scoreless innings on Tuesday night before heavy rain, lightning and thunder suspended play at Hadlock Field.

The contest will resume with the B-Mets set to hit in the top of third inning Wednesday night and will be scheduled for nine innings. First pitch is set for 5:00 PM. Tomorrow’s regularly scheduled contest will follow and be set for seven innings.

In his fourth start of the season, Portland’s Keith Couch worked around two walks in two shutout innings. Darin Gorski walked one over two scoreless frames in his third start since returning from the disabled list.

The contest is Binghamton’s second suspended game this year and the fourth contest in the last two weeks that has been affected by the weather. The B-Mets recently had a game against the Trenton Thunder postponed on June 13 and another bumped against the Richmond Flying Squirrels on June 18. The start of Monday’s game against the Sea Dogs was delayed by 84 minutes due to the threat of rain.
