B-Mets & Sea Dogs Washed Away Again

B-Mets and Sea Dogs Washed Away Again

PORTLAND, ME – The Binghamton Mets and Portland Sea Dogs failed to complete their suspended game as well as their regularly-scheduled contest night due to inclement weather. Both contests will be played at NYSEG Stadium in Binghamton during a series that begins on uly 11. A schedule for the final meeting between the two clubs will be announced at a later date.

The B-Mets and Sea Dogs played two scoreless innings night before rain, lightning and thunder suspended the action. In his fourth start of the season, Portland’s Keith Couch worked around two walks in two shutout innings. Darin Gorski walked one over two scoreless frames in his third start since returning from the disabled list.

The clubs prepared to resume action for a 5:00 PM start on Wednesday, but persistent rain prevented any pitches from being thrown. The B-Mets earned a 3-0 win on Monday in the only completed contest of the rain-marred series.

The B-Mets (47-28) return to the Southern Tier to start a five-game series against the Trenton Thunder on Thursday at 6:35 PM. The Horizon Federal Credit Union Pregame Show begins at 6:20 PM. press release
