Bristol 9 - Kingsport 7


Strange game.

Kingsport spotted Bristol eight runs in the first three innings, fought back with seven runs in the last six innings, but fell short in the end, eventually losing 9-7 in front of 447 fateful Bristol fans at Boyce Cox Field.

Starter Martires Arias (15.88) gave up eight runs (seven earned) and took the loss, his second in the young season. Luis Rengel (1.59) followed with giving up the other Bristol run, over three innings.

1B Jeff Diehl (.417) continued to lead his team in hitting, going 2-5, scoring once and knocking in another.

2B Jeff McNeill (.150) led a ninth inning rally by tripling in  C Adrian Abreu (.273) and SS Yeixon Ruiz (.273), but the rally fell short.

Kingsport travels to Greeneville foe tonight's game, beginning at 7:00pm.
