Mets Minor League Report: April 11, 2014





MMLR Players of the Day: Binghamton RHSP Rainy Lara.

 

At 9:35 PM PDT, Las Vegas (6-2) lost to Fresno (3-5) 5-1
Logan Verrett went 5.1 innings. That was 0.1 inning too long. 4 R, 8 H, BB, 3 K.
Ryan Reid got the final 2 outs of the 6th: R, 2 H, BB.
Miguel Socolovich followed with a perfect 7th inning.

Wilmer Flores, Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Matt den Dekker and Cesar Puello each have a hit.

 

Binghamton (6-2) blanks New Hampshire (2-6) 7-0

 
Rainy Lara pitches tonight’s gem: (W, 1-0) 7.0 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 3 K. Keep this up and we are really going to begin looking forward to Rainy days.
Cody Satterwhite pitched a perfect 8th inning: 2 K.
Chase Bradford finished up: 1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 H, BB, K.

Brian Burgamy hit a pair of solo shots: 2-3, 2 HR, 2 BB, 2 RBI, 2 R.
Matt Clark also had a solo shot: 1-3, HR, BB, RBI, R.
Matt Reynolds: 2-3, BB, 2 R.
Darrell Ceciliani: 1-5, 2 RBI.

 

 

St. Lucie (4-4) hands Fort Myers (6-2) their second loss 6-3

Steven Matz pitched well, but came away with a no decision: 6.0 IP, 3 R, 2 ER, 5 H, BB, 6 K.
Bret Mitchell (W, 1-0) pitched 2.0 strong innings: 0 R, 0 H, BB, 3 K.
Randy Fontanez (S, 1) was perfect in the 9th: 2 K.

DH was DH’ing tonight. Dilson Herrera: 2-5, 2B, R.
Brandon Nimmo: 2-4, 2 RBI, R.
T.J. Rivera: 2-4, 2B.
Phillip Evans, off to a hot start after a disappointing 2013: 2-3, BB, RBI, R. now hitting .318

 

Savannah (5-3) stops Rome (3-6) 4-1.

 
Robert Gsellman (W, 1-1) righted his ship after a shaky first start of the season: 7.0 IP, R, 0 ER, 6 H, BB, 6 K.
Darwin Frias followed Gsellman: 0.2 IP, 0 R, H, K.
Robert Coles (S, 2) came in for a perfect 4 out save: 2 K.

Stefan Sabol continued his scorching start: 2-3, 2B, BB, 2 RBI, R, SB- 2. Sabol is now hitting .474.
Victor Cruzado: 1-4, 3B, 2 RBI.
Colton Plaia: 2-4.
