Travis d’Arnaud to Rehab with B-Mets

New York Mets catcher Travis d’Arnaud is scheduled to make a Major League rehab appearance with the Binghamton Mets against the New Britain Rock Cats on Sunday night at 6:35 PM. d’Arnaud has been on the disabled list since suffering a concussion in a game against the New York Yankees on May 13.

d’Arnaud has hit .195 with three home runs over 31 games this season with the Mets. The California native was traded along with Noah Syndergaard and two others in exchange for R.A. Dickey, Mike Nickeas and Josh Thole from the Toronto Blue Jays to the Mets in December 2012.

As a New Hampshire Fisher Cat in 2011, d’Arnaud hit .311 with 21 home runs and 78 RBI en route to being named the Eastern League Most Valuable Player. He played seven games with the B-Mets in 2012 before making his Major League debut with the Mets later that season.

Accommodations for d’Arnaud’s media availability will be announced on Sunday.
