Reports came out last night that Mets outfielder Michael Conforto was on his way to New York to meet with Docs on a pulled side.
So I ask...
How would your Mets outfield set up the first week of the season?

I will start.
It seems obvious that Jeff McNeil will get more outfield reps, leaving third base to others.
My staring outfield would be McNeil, Nimmo, and Davis
3B would split between Nunez and Guillorme
I would also have the phone number to Puig's agent handy
RF Mcneil
CF Nimmo
LF Cespedes
3B would go to JD
Nimmo and Davis for sure. The third spot is the question. You could move McNeil out there and open up 3B for the likes of Guillorme or Nunez, move Nunez out there, play Marisnick (ugh!) or let someone like Matt Adams or Ryan Cordell have his 15 minutes of Aaron Altherr fame.
I like what Ryan Cordell and Johnehswy Fargas have shown this Spring but not sure if either is an opening day option. What about Mr. Puig? He is still unsigned and a right handed outfielder.
Hope like hell that this is nothing serious and he's back on track in a few days.
That being said...I might move Nimmo to right, with Marisnick in center. Left still divided between Davis, Smith and possibly Cespedes.
McNeil stays at third.
I don't need to see J.D. at third. Saw enough of that last year to know it doesn't work.
Tebow, of course.
Seriously, I am glad this happened 3 weeks before opening day. However much time he loses, it will be 3 weeks less than if it happened April 15.
Big opportunity for JD Davis and, of course, Cespedes.
Get well soon, MC.
