Nice first inning. Cool to see Alvarez is starting at DH. I am not asking for much...just Soto II.

We have spent much discussion wondering whether we have enough pitching.
Maybe that doesn't matter anymore.
Tough going for Jacob Barnes so far. He is out of options so he will need to be waived if he doe not make roster. Jeremy Hefner touted him earlier in camp/
I’m surprised by how much playing time the prospects are getting when we realize that there are less games than usual and the regulars need to get enough at bats to be ready to go on opening day.

I think you will see more regulars play Thursday when it is a home game. I think the old adage that bench players and rookies travel still holds.
Barnes is 30 and has not shown much over his career at the major or minor league level. He needs to do better, and tap into something better with Hefner, or he'll start out in AAA.
