After watching the presser, I’m beyond excited to play for you sir. I could feel the excitement and passion you’re going to bring daily. Let’s go be great! @StevenACohen2

Loved everything about my time with the @Mets. The training, medical, and coaching staff are worldly. Beyond excited to learn from these individuals as we all work towards winning a ring! 🗣

Marcus Stroman is now the Mets' third-highest salaried player for 2021 behind Jacob deGrom and Robinson Canó.

The team's rotation is beginning to take shape with deGrom, Stroman and David Peterson. A free agent signing or two is still likely.
And to be clear, I mean absolutely no disrespect to Trevor. But I think Marcus is ready to explode this year.

Marcus Stroman breakdown, as I see it:
— Justin Toscano (@JustinCToscano) November 11, 2020
-Win for the Mets, win for Stroman
-The decision also makes you not cringe as much at the trade
-Stroman can experience Cohen culture in '21
-Mets need more rotation help but this is the best starthttps://t.co/nktifSt6R0

Great. All is forgiven. Full speed ahead.
Yeah 1 year of Stroman to show what he can do. But sign some extra depth just in case he sits out the season again for Covid
ALWAYS need extra depth. That was the big weakness this year.
If we sign Bauer and have a rotation of Jake, Stro, Bauer, Peterson and (later) Thor, hopefully Matz can return to form at #5.
If we can't get Bauer, Tanaka or Walker could be a fit.
zozo. he won’t sit out and lose 19 million. He lost probably “just” 3 million in 2020.
Bill, if we sign Bauer, I’d still want another better-than-Wacha starter also signed. Even if it is also multi-year. Kluber?
No matter how he spins it, I think the market this winter was just too uncertain for Strohman to walk away. He made the smart play.
I could have gone either way on this one, but overall I'm glad he's in the rotation on a one-year deal. Perfect. One less hole fill. I see him as a #3 w/ upside.
Next!

I am one of 100s on MetsTwitter that have been blocked by this guy.
If he is truly a Met, you unblock everyone and take what is thrown your way with a grain.
He definitely talks the talk.
Bauer will make him look downright laconic.

It's a really rough life isn't it....do I take the 18.9 million or not hmmmmm.
I knew he didn’t have the balls to test this market. The question is, if Brodie hadn’t bailed him out with a QO in this financial landscape after not pitching for over a year, what reality would he have faced? Very likely 3/$40 or so. Let’s see if he will put up or shut up this year? Not really betting on the shut up...
