Sand Gnats Rained Out

Tuesday night’s scheduled contest with the Asheville Tourists at Historic Grayson Stadium has been postponed due to wet field conditions. This game will not be made up at Historic Grayson Stadium but will be played in the form of a doubleheader on May 28, 2009 when Savannah visits Asheville later this month. People with tickets from Tuesday night’s game with Asheville can exchange their tickets for tickets to any other Sand Gnats home game this season. The Gnats (14-11) will be back in action tomorrow when the Greenville Drive, a Boston Red Sox affiliate, make their way to Georgia’s First City. Stolmy Pimentel (1-2, 2.25) is scheduled to start the game for Greenville. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
