Look…
There is no sense blogging, posting, messaging, writing, speaking, flaming, or viraling about what the Mets should do until it is decided who the Mets are.
There’s going to be a new General Manager. There also is going to be a new manager. Chances are other area, like scouting and minor league executing, will also change.
And then there’s Fred. Will he leave the new GM alone? Will the new GM get the normal “first 90 days do whatever you want” routine and then the ole hands on get handed on again?
Look… it’s a pain in the ass right now, but there is a big difference between a pain in the ass and total rectal distruction.
Someone asked me today who the second baseman will be next season. Frankly, how the hell would I know in a normal year?
There are very few things etched in stone right now. They are:
1. David Wright will play third base
2. Citi Fied is in Queens
3. The Shake Shack will make money
4. President Obama will speak live today on television
I continue to put out content on this site, but I’m concentrating on fact, rather than speculation. Mack’s Mets has never been a mass message site, except on the days when Matt Cerrone links to my site. Then, hords or people named anonymous do a lot of speculating.
Ironically, the most popular feature on my site is ‘Cutnpaste’ which is five paragraphs from five other sites, full of speculation and ranting. I’ve been told that repringting that is illegal? Is it? It’s a paragraph with a bold linking to the original site. Doesn’t that help generate ‘hits’ for the original site? Is asking these questions speculation?
I speculated a lot in the 80s. That’s why I’m broke.
Sit back folks and wait for the changes. Change is not always a good thing, but, in this case, it is. We know the result for the past four years from the suits we have. There has to be something better out there than no playoffs.
I’m starting to sound like Andy Rooney.
