JIM WEED NAMED NEW YORK METS MINOR LEAGUE EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR
At the Baseball Winter Meetings in Dallas Texas, Jim Weed, the General Managerof the Binghamton Mets was elected as the New York Mets Minor League Executiveof the Year.
Jon Miller, the New York Mets Assistant Director of Minor League Relations,said “Jim Weed has been a valued part of the Met organization for the past 15years. His efforts in supporting our player development needs in addition tosupporting his own community during their recent flood relief efforts make usproud to recognize Jim as the New York Mets Minor League Executive of the Year.”
B-Mets President Michael Urda echoed, “Jim Weed is the best example to showpeople what they can accomplish through hard work and dedication. Jim beingrecognized for the New York Mets most prestigious award is a credit to both JimWeed and the incredible staff that supports him.”
