FLASH Trade - Jesus Montero for Michael Pineda



According to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com, the Mariners have acquired Jesus Montero from the Yankees for right-hander Michael Pineda.

Hopefully in year Familia will similarly bring back a blue chip player in a trade.

I swear there must be some "unwritten rule" that every other team in baseball must do everything within their power to help the Yankees.

Montero looks like he will hit at the major league level, but he is still suspect with the glove.

Ignoring the other pieces in the deal for a second, but a potential catcher (probable DH) for a stud pitcher?

Mike, this is what deep talented teams can do.

The Mets will be in this position come the off-season between 2013-2014.

The Mets will have 3-8 C+ to B+ pitchers they will have no room for.

That's how you get your catcher, CFer, etc.
