St. Lucie (25-19) nips Lakeland (27-16) 5-4 in 11 innings.

A fine start for Steven Matz: 6.0 IP, 3 R, 2 ER, 7 H, 0 BB, 8 K.
Seth Lugo held the fort: 3.0 IP, R, 5 H, BB, 6 K.
Beck Wheeler (W, 2-1) was perfect, striking out 5 of the 6 batters he faced in 2.0 innings

L.J. Mazzilli: 2-2, HR, 2 BB, RBI, R. Looks like Mazzilli is finally getting acclimated to A ball, hitting .375 in his last 10 games, with a .512 OBP.

3 wins in 5 games, and a lot of performances to like. Mazzilli is on fire, as is Plawecki, Herrera, and Brown.

I still think Brownie can be another Scott Hairston, perhaps better.

Nimmo's slump seems to be ending. Dom Smith like Mazzilli is on a surge. Jayce Boyd seems to be rounding into top form.

Hitting-wise, the "Big 3 in Bingo," Vaughn, Lawley and Taijeron, remain an impotent, high strikeout trio. Very disappointing there.
