Tom Brennan - ROSS ADOLPH NY PENN LEAGUE ALL STAR MVP

Tom Brennan - ROSS ADOLPH NY PENN LEAGUE ALL STAR MVP

Congrats to Ross Adolph for his well-deserved MVP in the NY Penn League All Star game.

Ross socked a 2 run triple and a solo homer in the contest.

A 6'1", 203 21 year old speedster and lefty bat, Adolph's triple was his NINTH this season in just 43 games including the All Star game.

In the 42 official games this year, he has had 5 doubles, 8 triples, 2 homers and 7 of 9 in steals, and is at a respectable .261/.324/.433.

So far so good for the 12th rounder from Ohio.  Looking forward to more.

Nice.....I looked him up after reading your article and he had quite a career in college! With his speed, is he playing CF? A CF'er with some pop would be a welcome addition in a couple years when he is potentially ready.

With his name, I'm glad for his sake he chose to go with the FULL beard and FULL mustache.

Mike, no errors so far and FIVE assists - half his games as a CF, the other half split between left and right. Nice.

Reese, maybe friends of Mets pitching great Aaron Heilman?

A poor man's Adam Eaton? (in time, of course)

Adolph had a hit and walk and two steals last night.

THREE HOMERS for Ross Adolph in his doubleheader last night - making a big statement - Ike Davis hit no homers when he played his season in Brooklyn, so 3 in a doubleheader from Ross is quite noteworthy
