Good

– Michael Conforto is on his way to finish the season with 28+ HR, 75+ RBI, and
a .780+ OPS in a year where most people were ready to give up on him in the
first half...
Here's What
17 Pieces Of Baseball Memorabilia
Worth $37M Look Like –
Front and
center in a glass case was the industry’s Moby Dick: Babe
Ruth’s Yankees 1920 road jersey. The flannel uniform top sold for $4.4
million in 2012, the record price for a piece of sports memorabilia by far, and
was on loan from its private owner (EMV 10m).
Three other
jerseys in the back also took my breath away: a 1927 Lou
Gehrig New York Yankees road jersey (EMV $10m), a MLB rookie-year 1948 Satchel Paige Cleveland Indians home jersey (EMV $1m),
and a rookie-year 1954 Hank Aaron Milwaukee Braves road
jersey (EMV $1m).
There Is Definitely Something Wrong with Citi Field
-
We were
discussing how the Mets, under Sandy Alderson, has not developed ‘bats’. I
disagreed and applaud the work of Tom Tanous and Chris Becerra (Int’l) over the
past three years. Examples are:
CF Ross Adolf (Brooklyn: 12th round, 2018) was
9th in the league in home runs 3rd in slugging, and 3rd
in OPS.
2B Luis Santana (K-Port: signed 2016) was 5th
in BA, 11th in slugging, and 7th in OPS
3B Mark Vientos (K-Port: 2nd round, 2017) was
tied for 4th in home runs, 10th in slugging, and 9th
in OPS.
SS Sheryven Newton (K-Port: signed July 2015) led the
league in doubles, was 14th in slugging, and 11th in OPS
SS Ronny Mauricio (GCL: signed July 2017) was tied for 6th
in doubles.
C Andres Gimenez (DSL: signed July 2015) was tied for 9th
in doubles, tied for 5th in home runs, 3rd in slugging,
and 4th in OPS.

Conforto is a major reason for being highly optimistic about 2019.
I believe McNeil's success hitting is helping the other hitters a lot. Contagious.
Now, with real hope for 2019, the other rookie ball kids listed will hopefully turn this into a multi-season positive wave for the Mets.
Those stars' Jerseys are worth more than all of New Jersey
Tom -
McNeil, Conforto, Nimmo, Rosario, Drew Smith, Wheeler...
Hopefully, somebody wakes up in the Mets boardroom and says that maybe they don't initially have all the right answers.
Tom, you will get your wish on Alonso around April 17th.
Ummm...Wheeler was a trade, Smith was a trade...
McNeil was an afterthought. His primary thoughts outside of Conforto and Nimmo have been lackluster.
I have a ticket stub from Jim Bunning's perfect game June 64' maybe it's worth what $10 bucks....oh wait I better hold on to it my Great, Great, Great G/kids might get twenty bucks for it and maybe by then the Mets will have new owners.
