Some guys have all the luck, Rod Stewart tells me.
Two lucky Mets pitchers have combined to throw 318
innings, fanning 317, ERA of 3.28, WHIP of 1.17. Nice.
Two other, unlucky pitchers have combined to toss 342
innings, fanning 387, ERA of 2.76, WHIP of 1.06. Nicer.
So, each tandem of pitchers has pitched well, but clearly the
second tandem has done better statistically, hands down.
However:
The first two dudes (Thor and Zack) are 24-10. Wow!
The other two dudes (Jake and Matz) are 13-20. Ugh!
Dusting off my High School French:
