Can't even balance a schedule with just NLE & ALE?
I agree. Playing the Yankees 6 times while the Nats play the Os 6 is like one horse in a race with a jockey 25 pounds heavier than the others.
Elite Sports NY's top 10 is very encouraging for the future. 8 of the 10 haven't even sniffed AA.

Of course it does, but where in any professional sport does a team face a disadvantage like this every year?
If the rivalry is that important, re-align and put them in the same division, as was the case with the Dodgers and Giants and still is with the Knicks-Nets and Rangers-Islanders.
