Megill gives u a HR to Derek Dietrich - Syracuse down 1-0 after 2.
McNeil hits a HR but Syracuse loses their 7th straight.
For how long Megill has been in AAA and for the team he’s facing, I was satisfied.
Megill gave up a bases loaded ground single to a major leaguer for two runs. It's a big adjustment, and I too am satisfied.
Heck, he was hardly even in AA.
I loved the 1 walk and 5 Ks in 5 innings. He seems to have excellent control, which many hard throwing Goliaths do not. After his 2 walks in the first inning of his first AAA start (I am guessing nerves), he has 3 walks vs. 16 Ks over his following 13 innings.
He will be on the Mets soon, I imagine, in some capacity. I am guessing shortly after the All Star Break. Maybe August.
