Tylor Megill

No doubt about it Sandy, Tyler is a keeper. Has really good pitch selection especially for such a young pitcher, a 97 mph fastball, good mph speed variance between pitches, and will only get better from here. Please keep him in the rotation. Just overall really impressed with Tyler. Great addition. Something about this guy says he has it. Smooth and collected gifted pitcher. Seven feet tall. Cage does not seem to ever rattle much. Left Coast guy which we like here...Seaver ring a bell?

Jake deGrom, Taijuan Walker, Tyler Megill, Marcus Stroman, and then one (or even two if Mets decide on six) from the David Peterson, Corey Oswalt, Drew Smith, Jerad Eickhoff collection. If the Mets can get Carlos Carrasco back healthy too, this will shore them up for the playoffs. And if more injuries were to happen, might consider trading for a half year contract on a Jose Berrios type starter using trade bait from like maybe a Franklyn Kilome, and a Mets extra outfielder or infielder either currently on the 26-man roster or even like Binghamton's 2B Carlos Cortes, who is having a very good season thus far and getting his fair notice.

The Megill Fan Club certainly is starting to expand.

If you think about it, the Mets always kind of had starting pitcher rotations built mainly from within their draft system here for like many seasons. Now, they have Walker (FA signing), Carrasco (trade), Stroman (trade), and Syndergaard (trade). Just Jake and then too if Mike Pelfrey ever decides to come back. Mets took six months to sign him to a four year Mets contract on January 10, 2006. The deal included a $3.5 million signing bonus and $5.3 million in guaranteed salary. Out of this deal, the Mets got a 53-54 starter, with 506 strikeouts in 896 innings, and a 1.46 WHIP. (Pass the beer nuts)

[Whatever]

In lieu of the fact that

I don't belong to a NY Knicks message board at current, I will tell you how to rebuild this team in two very simple moves.

Move 1:

1. Sign FA big man center Jonas Valanciunas from Memphis. He's 26 years old. Solid stats.

2. Trade for Luka Doncic using RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson as partial trade bait. Luka is 22 years old. Solid Stats.

2022 Starting Five:

C Valaciunas PF Randall SF Toppin PG Doncic SG Quickley

Is that so hard to do? No.
